Ghost Notes is pleased to announce another run of dates for its in-house session, The Spaces In Between, an evening of improvised music featuring specially invited players from the South London Jazz community.
Loosely hosted by Rudi Creswick (Bass – Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei), Jake Long (Drums – Maisha, Poppy Ajudah) and Jack Stephenson-Oliver (Keys – Vels Trio), The Spaces In Between gives the musicians who make up one of London’s most exciting home-grown scenes an opportunity to exchange ideas and create entirely within the moment, all in front of an informed and appreciative audience.
Previous guests have included Dave Koor (Keys – The Expansions, Andrew Ashong), Tobie Tripp (Violin – Tom Misch, Oh Heaven, Kwabs) and members of Ezra Collective and Sumo Chief as well as unannounced appearances from Jordan Rakei and Oscar Jerome.
This new run of sessions will continue on alternate Tuesdays throughout the Spring and Summer, featuring an interstellar array of young London talent. The running order for the first two months of The Spaces In Between is now live and includes Johnny Woodham (Trumpet – Alfa Mist), Lloyd Carlos (Guitar – Puma Blue), Emma-Jean Thackray (Trumpet) and Kaidi Akinnibi (Saxaphone). On occasion they’ll be joined by some very special guests, although they won’t be revealed until the evening of the session.
Music starts at 9pm and entry is always free. For those wanting to make an evening of it our vegan and vegetarian restaurant Wildflower will be serving dinner between 6pm – 9pm.
