Hailing from the musical diversity of South London, Tara Lily has spent her late teens developing her own brand of urban jazz, showcased in her first release, ‘Who Saw Who’.
Growing up in Peckham around rappers and beat makers, whilst learning to play trad jazz and Hard Bop, Tara found herself at The Brit School aged 15. Not able to fit the mould however, she left early but went on to win a place at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, to study jazz vocals and piano, at the same time continuing to write songs and produce her own tracks. Therefore it’s no surprise, that Tara has already collaborated with an unlikely range of artists from Jammer BBK, Cosmo Pyke & Chipmunk to Yussef Days & Ezra Collective.
